4th Sunday of Advent year C

Friends,

Christ is coming! He is very near! Blessed is Mary among women, and blessed is the fruit of her womb! The readings this week are full of expectations. God’s promise through prophet Micah is fulfilled in Mary and Elizabeth’s encounter and their faith. Like these two women, let us encounter one another with our expectations and help one another to receive the Lord. He is coming soon to bring a good change in our lives.

The Messiah will come from Bethlehem and will encounter us with the gift of peace (First reading). He will shepherd his flock (Psalm). The Shepherd will come in human flesh like us (Second reading). In the Gospel, obedience to God’s will, faith in the promises, especially faith in the Incarnation

Let us journey together with Mary, who is expecting, and his birth will fulfill our expectations in the remaining days. He will bring us peace.

What are your expectations? Like Mary, keep them open to the Lord with faith.

Joy and Peace.
